This Business Integrity Tool has been developed by Transparency International Sweden, supported by Swedfund and Ethics Insight, drawing inspiration from Transparency International UK's Investing with Integrity II report.
The purpose of this tool is to empower impact investors with a practical and hands-on tool to help identify key business integrity issues during due diligence and provide guidance for risk-mitigation.

Who Is It For?
This tool is designed with impact investors in mind, particularly private equity fund managers working in high-risk regions. However, it may be useful to other stakeholders as well, and all are welcome to use it.
Potential users typically include business integrity and/or compliance officers, investment officers and people in legal or ESG supporting due diligence efforts within an investor.
While the tool is primarily intended for pre-investment due diligence, it can also be used later in the investment process, including for periodic reviews.
